Brunching at Berners Tavern

Hello my lovelies!

So here we are on the other side of Christmas! I hope you all had a lovely time. My Christmas this year was definitely different in both good and bad respects. I think that fact that we did things a bit different this year threw me off a bit and it didn’t feel like Christmas at all. For one I went for a run on Christmas morning…yes call me crazy, I know. I soon got into the Christmas spirit once we prepared Christmas lunch. I can safely say that I ate everything in sight and had more champagne than I could have imagined…it was wonderful! I’m now dealing with the consequences of my actions and recovering from a food coma. I don’t even know what day it is anymore but I guess that’s what happens when you’ve had 4 days off from work. Now that we’re in the short run up to the new year I’ve some how got a busy week ahead of me.

I’m sadly back to work this week but on the plus side it’s my sister’s birthday, I’m going out in between and then of course we have the New Years festivities. I guess I can’t really complain seeing as I’ve been able to spend time with family and catch up with friends.

As an early celebration we decided to have brunch at Berners Tavern for my sister’s birthday. If you haven’t been before I’d definitely recommend going! The place is beautiful as you’ll soon see. I was spoilt for choice with a wide variety of dishes on the menu.

The interior reminded me of a museum but if you’re also a Harry Potter fan like myself then we’ll be on the same wave length…Am I the only one who thinks it looks like the stair well of Hogwarts?

If you know me well then you’ll know that I’ll always go for the sweet option when it comes to breakfast! My waffles were so delicious.

I hope you all have a relaxing week ahead of you before all of the festivities begin again. To those of you who have to go back to work this week, hang in there!

Be sure to head back soon for my last post before the end of the year.

Until next time…
