Paris is Always a Good Idea

Paris is notorious for being one of the fashion capitals of the world, if not THE fashion capital of the world.

When I started this blog I always envisaged a post or a photo diary of all of my favourite sites in Paris. Growing up I spent a few summer holidays in Paris. Paris when you’re 8 years old just isn’t the same when you’re now avidly on Instagram and blogging about fashion/style. About 2 months ago my sister and I were both at work messaging one another and spontaneously by mid-day we had our Eurostar tickets booked to Paris.

A Day in Paris

Yes – It’s possible if you’re committed and crunched for time. Just be prepared for an early start, a lot of walking and metro hopping.

My train out of London was scheduled for 06:45. It was an early start but there were a lot of places that I had on my agenda. My journey started with the having the wonderful pleasure of taking the night tube into King’s Cross station.  With only 4 hours of sleep, the last thing that I would have wished upon myself was having a random drunken guy singing and whispering in my ear. Of course with my luck, that’s exactly what happened. Oh the joys of using the night tube! I said that Paris in a day was possible; I didn’t say it was going to be easy.

If you’re sense of direction is just as poor as mine, then it might be worth going with someone. For me, there’s nothing more anxiety provoking than the thought of being lost in a foreign city alone. Of course I took my partner in crime with me aka my sister. Without her, I probably wouldn’t have even been able to find my way out of Gare du Nord station (I know what you’re thinking. My sense of direction really is that bad).

Here are the places that I HAD to visit:

31, Rue Cambon

Musée du Louvre

Jardin du Palais-Royal

Tour Eiffel

Arc de Triomphe

As you can see it’s possible to visit quite a few of the infamous Parisian sights. Of course there were many places that I still wanted to visit but couldn’t get the chance to. I guess that gives me another excuse to visit Paris again! Until next time my lovelies.

Lots of love,
